Appeals Procedure
It is important to recognise that during assessment you may disagree with your assessor decision regarding the evidence you submit. If this situation occurs you must follow the stages listed below.
Stage 1
If you feel your assessor's decision is unjustified in relation to the evidence that you produce you should firstly discuss this with your assessor.
Your assessor will make a record that the decision was appealed against. You will be given a clear explanation regarding the decision and issues relating to your evidence.
Stage 2
The Internal Verifier will be invited to consider the evidence and a decision made. If an agreement still cannot be reached, stage 3 will follow.
Stage 3
Centre appeals panel, consisting of Central Training representative, other Internal Verifier and an independent assessor who will hear both the assessor and the Learner.
If a satisfactory conclusion cannot be reached the Awarding Body can be contacted to hear and adjudicate the case.
Possible outcome of Appeals Procedure:-
The Learner is re-assessed
Evidence is reappraised
Request for additional evidence
If you wish to appeal:
You must log you appeal with the assessor who conducted your assessment within 10 days of the assessment decision. This can also be logged with the lead assessor who will then contact you.
