Equality Of Opportunity

Central Training has a wide range of strategies to support the learner and the employer during the NVQ Programme to ensure that every learner receives an equality of opportunity.

Our Commitment to you the learner

Central Training is fully committed to a policy of Equality of Opportunity.

The responsibility and aim of Central Training is to ensure that every learner is treated fairly and is encouraged to develop to their full potential in all aspects of their training. Central Training will ensure that you the learner do not, at any time during training, suffer any discrimination on the grounds of race or ethnic origin, religion of belief, disability, sexual orientation or age.

During the programme you will engage in activities which are designed to improve your knowledge and understanding of equality and diversity issues.

These include the induction you will receive from Central Training and the support given by your employer so please make a note of this information and apply it in your employment.

Learner Responsibility

Learners are expected to treat everyone they meet with respect and to approach the NVQ programme in a positive manner. Central Training will discuss equality issues with learners during progress reviews to monitor their understanding and experience. During the length of programme Central Training will provide learners, employers and education providers with the opportunity to comment on how we manage the NVQ programme and to suggest any changes that might be beneficial. It is the responsibility of everyone involved in the NVQ including staff and learners to ensure that our policies are implemented and supported. We ask that all employers develop an environment where equality, fairness, security and respect are an integral part of the NVQ programme. As a learner you need to support the work being done by your employer and this will enable everyone to perform to the best of their ability.
