Central Fitness offers a diverse suite of fitness and leisure qualifications, for people taking their first steps in the industry or established professionals developing their careers. The qualifications are based upon over 20 years of industry expertise and have been developed with the input of employers and fitness professionals.

Award in Circuit Training
This qualification is aimed at individuals wishing to plan and deliver safe and effective circuit training sessions as well as developing a range of teaching skills.
First Aid at Work
The course is a key qualification required by all fitness professionals. It is aimed at individuals wanting to gain the knowledge and practical skills to be able to deal with a range of injuries and illnesses.
Certificate in Fitness Instructing - Exercise to music
This qualification is aimed at the learner who wants to pursue a career in the Health and Fitness industry as a fitness instructor in the context of exercise to music. You will learn how to plan and teach safe and effective exercise to music sessions, whilst gaining an understanding of the principles of training, the body's systems and its response to training.
Certificate in Fitness Instructing - Gym based exercise
This qualification is aimed at the learner who wants to pursue a career in the Health and Fitness industry as a fitness instructor in the context of gym-based exercise. You will learn how to plan and teach safe and effective exercise sessions within a gym environment, whilst gaining an understanding of the principles of training and the body's systems and its response to training.
Introduction to Leisure and Fitness (16-19 year olds only)
This programme is aimed at learners who are aged 16-19 and gives a broad introduction to working in the Leisure and Fitness industry. You will gain a wide range of foundation level qualifications and experience working within a fitness and leisure setting.
Certificate in Fitness Instructing - Exercise and physical activity for Children
This qualification is aimed at the learner who wants to pursue a career in the health and fitness industry as a fitness instructor in the context of exercise and physical activity for children or at those already running such sessions without a formal qualification.
Emergency First Aid at Work
The Emergency First Aid at Work course is a key qualification required by all fitness professionals. It is aimed at individuals wanting to gain the knowledge and practical skills to be able to deal with a range of injuries and illnesses.
Certificate in Personal Training
The aim of this qualification is to recognise the skills, knowledge and competence required for an individual to work unsupervised as a personal trainer. This includes being able to offer one-to-one training, baseline assessment, nutritional advice and progressive programming which is specific to the individual needs of a client.
Award in Nutrition for Physical Activity
The aim of this qualification is to recognise the skills, knowledge and competence required for an individual to apply the principles of nutrition to support client goals as part of an exercise and physical activity programme.
